Q What was your favourite Olympic performance?

A “It would have to be Penny Oleksiak. She killed it in everything she did. Obviously, her brother (Jamie) plays in the NHL so I knew the name. She’s so young, 16. But she was incredible. It was good to see her — a good Canadian.”

Q If you competed in the Olympics, what would be your sport?

A “Definitely not swimming,

I’d sink. I think I could sprint, maybe. I think the 400-metre would be good for me. I did a bit of track and field in high school, nothing too competitive. I think I did my 400-metre just under a minute. Someone said that was pretty good. Maybe if I trained a little more.” Q What was your summer highlight? A “I didn’t do much this summer. Coming and skating with the NHL guys just before camp would probably be my biggest highlight. Just to get the feel of what it’s like to skate with NHL guys. It was a good highlight for me and good for me to come into camp.”

Q What is your go-to junk food?

A “I have a lot. I love anything chocolate, I’m a big chocolate guy. Chocolate cake. Chocolate brownies. Chocolate chip cookies. I’m a big chocolate guy.” Q What did you binge watch this summer? A “I’m into Ballers right now. Every week I keep up with that. I love the Rock.”

Q Funniest teammate?

A “(Former Flames draft pick) John Gilmour at Providence. He’s always cracking jokes and has something smart to say.”

Q Who did you have on your wall as a kid?

Mark Jankowski

A “Maixim Afinogenov. He was my favourite when I was a kid. I was a (Buffalo) Sabres fan growing up and I loved him.”

Q Who would you want to take a selfie with?

A “Taylor Swift”
