King celebrates book at alma mater
Stephen King is launching his latest work, Hearts in Suspension, with a reading of the book at his alma mater, the University of Maine. The book’s publication Monday marked the 50th anniversary of King’s entrance into UMaine in 1966. Monday evening, King was scheduled to discuss his student days during the turbulent Vietnam War era. The book is being published by the University of Maine Press. It’s accompanied by a novella in which King reflects on his undergraduate years; four instalments of King’s student newspaper column called King’s Garbage Truck; and essays by 12 of King’s classmates and friends.
