Last season for Bones

Bones kicks off its 12th and final season with Brennan (Emily Deschanel) in serious trouble. The premiere picks up where we left off, with the team trying to find Brennan after she’s abducted by ex-squintern Zack (Eric Millegan).

What else can we expect? Fox says the season will “celebrate the inventive series and bring the storylines of Brennan, Booth (David Boreanaz) and the Jeffersonian-FBI team to a close, allowing the show’s loyal fans to say goodbye to these indelible characters.”

The season premiere of Bones, titled The Final Chapter: The Hope in the Horror, airs tonight on Fox and City. Girl Meets World not yet cancelled: The show isn’t over despite comments from Rider Strong, who plays Shawn Hunter on the tween comedy. On his podcast, Strong said “the show ended” after filming season 3, which airs its last episodes in January.

But a Twitter account for the Girl Meets World writers’ room said there’s no decision yet on the fate of the Boy Meets World sequel.

The tweets added dates for those episodes: the hour-long World Meets Girl airs Jan. 6, Girl Meets Sweet 16 airs Jan. 13, and Girl Meets Goodbye airs Jan. 20. The series airs on Disney Channel. Sherlock fate up in the air: The fourth season of Sherlock debuted Jan. 1 on PBS, but fans are already in a tizzy about Season 5 — or the possible lack of it. Before the holidays, when BBC hosted a Q&A with cast members and writers, the show’s fate was murky.

“We would love to do more, but … — we absolutely don’t know,” cocreator Mark Gatiss said according to The Hollywood Reporter.
