Feb. 11-12: Calgarians will have the chance to experience two unforgetta­ble musical performanc­es featuring the talents of singers and musicians of different faiths from across the city. The concerts are hosted by the Interfaith Clergy Leadership team, made up of members from the Muslim, Christian and Jewish Communitie­s to support Habitat for Humanity. Each Building Sacred Bridges concert is a fundraiser for Habitat to raise funds and build stability for local families in need of affordable housing. Building bridges while we build homes together. Feb. 11: Knox United Church, at 516 4th St. S.W., at 7 p.m. Feb. 12: Beth Tzedec Synagogue, at 1325 Glenmore Tr. S.W., at 7 p.m. Each concert will include inspiring works performed by eight groups from various faith groups across the city. One hundred per cent of the proceeds from each concert will go to help Habitat. There is no set charge for tickets to each concert, but all attendees are invited to make a generous donation, with a suggested donation of $20 per seat. Mondays: The Calgary Diamond Way Buddhist Centre, at 7628 Elbow Dr. S.W. (behind Starbucks), holds public meditation­s every Monday at 7:30 p.m. If you’re interested in learning how to uncover your inherent fearlessne­ss, joy and compassion, come check us out. We offer 10-minute talks on basic Buddhist teachings and then we meditate together. There is always time for questions and tea. Everyone is welcome and there is no cost.
