Ottawa must plug holes in our border

Chris Nelson, you have described Canada’s porous border crisis clearly and succinctly. This is a serious situation that is being ignored by our present government. And where is the national media?

If this type of migration of foreigners crossing our border with the U.S.A. had happened under the Conservatives’ watch, the national newspapers, newscasts and tweets would have overflowed with condemnation and outrage.

Grassroots Canadians: write, email, text or phone your MP about this travesty that is increasingly occurring as the sun moves northward. The legal loopholes that allow these people to casually walk across the border and claim asylum are ridiculous, and they must be plugged by our federal government. Lorraine Weller, Calgary
