WILL, Brian Charles

December 24, 1944 – April 7, 2017

Brian passed peacefully at home, as he wished, following a one year cancer diagnosis. He lived every day to its fullest and left a positive impression on all who met him. His gentle nature will be deeply missed by Marilyn, Carter and Stacey, Riley and Nikki, and very special grandchild­ren Allan, Mara, Alex and Ava. Also survived by sister Joan (John dec.) Farnham; brother and wife Ron and Bev Will; Bob ( Elaine) Mjolsness; and Gail Howat (Wes Martin); nephews and nieces. Family was very important to Brian. He and Marilyn celebrated their 52 anniversar­y on April 3. Graduating from SAIT Mechanical Engineerin­g Technologi­es in 1965, Brian began a long career of engineerin­g creativity and entreprene­urship. He was extremely proud to establish BRC Engineerin­g and Manufactur­ing with his sons in 1996. Brian experience­d many ups and downs during his 50 years in the oil patch, but always persevered! Other passions were motorsport, hockey, skiing, biking, and travel. The loss of Brian will be felt by many dear friends and colleagues. The family wish to extend their sincere appreciati­on for the wonderful care of Drs. Don Buie and Scott Dowden, nurse Charlene, FH nursing staff (units 36 and 47), the Community Paramedic Team, Aspen Landing Safeway pharmacist­s, and the Palliative Home Care Team, particular­ly Andrea O’Brien and Dr. David Falk.
