Mondays: Diamond Way Buddhism Calgary hosts a short Introducti­on to Buddhism talk at 7 p.m. on the first Monday of every month. Tuesdays: Brush With The Spirit: With a BFa, MDiv and more than 25 years of French restaurant experience, our facilitato­r offers unique programs that combine culinary and visual arts. Designed for non-artists, artists and seekers of all stripes, the session explores how Freeing the Creative Self Frees the Whole Self; 6 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Centre at 10601 Southport Rd. S.W. April 15: We are excited to host w.p. Puppet Theatre at St. Matthew’s United Church, at 2035 26A St. S.W., from 1 to 3 p.m. for their Puppet PopUp Studio. Come and make a mouth-moving puppet from sponge foam and create your own talking rabbit. Every rabbit puppet hops in to say a line of a narrative poem or story. Children and teens must participat­e with an adult. Puppet Pop-Up Studio is a monthly puppet-making and performing workshop on the third Saturday of each month at different locations in Calgary. April 16: 9 a.m. Easter Breakfast at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church at 8007 Bowness Rd. N.W., $5 per person, $10 per family, followed by 10:30 Easter Day Service with special music. Afterwards, enjoy fellowship, baked goods and beverage. April 19: Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church at 8007 Bowness Rd. N.W. invites everybody for the Community Supper from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for a free nutritious meal.

April 22: Robert McClure United Church, at 5510 26th Ave. N.E., is hosting its annual turkey dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be turkey with all the trimmings, pies (apple, pumpkin, lemon and blueberry) along with coffee, tea or juice. Enjoy the special dinner music as well. Adults $15, Seniors (65 +) $13, Children (four to 10) $6, three and under free, and families (two adults and three children) $40. Takeout meals are available.

April 22 and 23: St. Gerard’s Church: Huge Garage Sale. Saturday at 9 a.m. and Sunday at 10 a.m., at 8944 Elbow Dr. S.W. Free Admission. Dropoffs accepted April 21 from 12 to 7 p.m. (no clothing, major appliances, furniture or TVs.)

May 6: The Anglican Parish of St. Mark and St. Philip (1802 33rd Ave. S.W.) invites you to our Butterfly Tea and Bazaar, from 1 to 3 p.m. Sewing, baking, knitting, crafts, granny’s treasures, gently used garden ornaments or decoration­s, jams and jellies, tea: $5 per person. Wheelchair accessible.
