We all benefit from paying for schools

-

Re: “School fees aren’t an unreasonable contribution,” Letter, April 14.

Chris Waldorf claims that paying high school fees is fair because some people have no children and are still required to pay school taxes.

What he does not mention is that if the current parents with no children were educated at schools in Canada, they have already benefited from a system that required people with no children to pay school taxes, and their parents probably paid low school fees, if any at all. Kevin Blakely, Calgary
