Jets GM hopes to make net gains

Kevin Cheveldayoff isn’t in a position to reveal his plans to address the goaltending situation this offseason. The Winnipeg Jets general manager knows he’ll need to add a goalie to the fold to move the team forward. Whether that happens via trade or in free agency is too early to say. “What direction we choose to go, we’ll look at all the different options that are available to us,” Cheveldayoff said during his year-end media address. “It’s a very unique year in the sense of the expansion draft and the possibilities that no one really knows how those are going to play out, so those are something you talk about.”
