Friday and Saturday: Dawn Tyler Watson The “queen of the blues in Montreal” comes to town on the heels of a first-place finish at the 2017 Internatio­nal Blues Challenge in Memphis. Friday: New Constellat­ions The cross-Canada tour offers music and literature for audiences, and mentorship programs for Indigenous youth who want to work on their creative skills. Sunday: The Rural Alberta Advantage and Yukon Blonde Both bands have taken their names from places they don’t call home. (The RAA are from Toronto; Yukon Blonde, Vancouver.) The groups find still more common ground in upbeat live shows. At The Palace Theatre, 219 8th Ave. S.W. 7 p.m. Sold out.

Wednesday: Six-Year Anniversar­y Party Commonweal­th turns six and celebrates with charitable (see Our Town, page 30) and musical components.
