Finding the perfect bed is no easy task. Of course, there’s the mattress choice, which conjures up Goldilocks and the Three Bears (is this one juuuust right?), but equally as important is choosing a frame that will last. After all, a new bed is not something you buy very often.
If the new bed is for your master retreat, I feel it should make a statement and work alongside all the other items. The right bed will make the space a cosy retreat, fit for any king or queen.
The first thing to keep in mind is scale. So many of us long for a king bed, but without careful measuring you may find that there isn’t any room for anything else. You need to ensure you have enough room for night tables, lamps, a dresser and of course, room to walk around without stubbing your toes.
Once you are confident in the size, you get to the fun stuff — picking the perfect bed. This month I have scoured the design world in search of the perfect frames so you can have the luxurious master retreat that fits any style and budget (and the room itself).
