DRIVER EXTRACTED
Calgary police say a white Toyota RAV4 with a 30-year-old man at the wheel was travelling east on 9th Avenue approaching 2nd Street around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday when it side-swiped a vehicle exiting a parkade, then accelerated into the rear of a Dodge Ram waiting at the intersection. The force of the collision caused the RAV4 to flip onto its roof. Emergency crews extracted the driver of the RAV4 and he was transported to hospital in critical condition. His condition was later upgraded to serious but stable.
