Plenty to do at area ski resorts

SUNSHINE VILLAGE

All season, the Banff National Park resort has been throwing Bourgeau Bonfire Bashes on Saturdays and Sundays. The resort has set up bonfires in the village to warm up around and enjoy some barbecue from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. Sunshine Village’s season total is sitting at 640 cm of snow. www.skibanff.com @SunshineVi­llage LAKE LOUISE On Saturday and Sunday, Lake Louise will be hosting the K2 Big Mountain Challenge. A week later, kids ages seven to 19 have the chance to show they can keep up with their elders at the North Face Jr. Big Mountain Challenge. NORQUAY

Every month, Mount Norquay hosts a Toonie Day. That’s right, for only $2 – donations to a local charity are encouraged — guests can spend a full day ripping up the slopes at the Banff resort. CANADA OLYMPIC PARK

The Calgary hill is recreating some of that 1988 magic by celebratin­g the 2018 Pyeongchan­g Games. WinSport’s two weeks of events culminate in a free Calgary 1988 Olympic Anniversar­y Party Friday from 7 p.m. to midnight, featuring live music, prizes for best costume and all the action from South Korea live-streamed. www.winsport.ca

PANORAMA
