Homes feature bungalow functionality with premium specs in Elbow Valley
People in the market for an upscale bungalow villa in the Calgary area have a new option just west of city limits.
Homes by Avi has introduced its Swift Creek Villas to Elbow Valley. Earlier this year the builder earned the Design Excellence award at the Canadian Home Builders’ Association National Awards of Housing Excellence.
The development — located at Clear Creek Place, which is west of Highway 8, near Lott Creek Boulevard — will build out to 50 villas, starting from the $760,000s before GST. Supporting the owner’s ability to leave for extended periods without worrying about upkeep, they ’ll have condo fees of $269 that cover tasks such as yard maintenance, garbage removal, and snow removal.
“Our Swift Creek Villas are attractive to buyers who are looking for the functionality of a bungalow, but desire the luxury of our premium specifications,” says Alice Mateyko, president of Homes by Avi’s single-family division. “The villas have so much to offer, with developed basements — some on walk-out lots, and are favourable for those with a lock-and-leave lifestyle.”
There are four floor plans, each with a front-drive double car garage, and a fully landscaped yard, and developed basement. They range from 2,547 to 2,801 square feet and all have a minimum of three bedrooms, with the master bedroom above grade, and two secondary bedrooms in the lower level.
“There’s been big demand,” says area sales manager Chamse Noomane of the development that launched sales in February. He says the majority of potential buyers he’s heard from currently own larger homes and live in the vicinity.
“They ’re looking for a small community, well-managed, that’s lock and go,” he adds.
These villas boast “very high standards,” says Noomane, and some of the lots have views of the Rocky Mountains.
Beyond sight lines, the location of this development has been an attraction because of its connections, says Noomane, singling out both downtown Calgary and Bragg Creek as being about 20 minutes away.
People who enjoy a sunny afternoon playing 18 holes will appreciate the Swift Creek Villas site. It’s located across the street from Elbow Springs Golf Club.
Show homes for its 2,547-squarefoot Tamarack, and 2,657-squarefoot Cascade models are expected to be complete by the end of this August.
A sales centre is located at 7 Clear Creek Place and open 2 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and noon to 5 p.m. on weekends.
