MOMS WE LOVE TO SCORN

This is definitely a subjective list. Some readers may actually admire these women but we can’t get past their self-centredness, need for attention and inability to do what’s right for their children.

Octo-mom Nadya Denise Doud- Suleman Gutierrez. The single mom gave birth to octuplets in 2009 to great fanfare, which turned to public dismay when it was discovered she already had six children. All were conceived through in vitro fertilization. After their birth, she hired a PR spokesman, did TV interviews and signed on for a reality TV show in Britain. In retrospect, she may have earned her way off this list by reportedly turning down an offer of $1 million to star in a pornographic film.

Joan Crawford, whose adopted daughter Christina wrote a scathing tell-all, Mommy Dearest, in which she alleged a childhood of neglect, violence and abuse.

Kris Kardashian is the queen of exploitation. She parlayed her marriages to O.J. Simpson lawyer Robert Kardashian and former Olympic athlete Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner into a media empire. In Keeping Up with the Kardashians, she has mass-marketed her children who embrace selfie culture to the extreme.
