Man found guilty in drunk tank sex assault
A Calgary jury deliberated a little less than 10 hours Friday before finding Derek Bradley guilty of taking advantage of a highly intoxicated cellmate inside the Canmore RCMP detachment’s drunk tank.
Bradley, 26, had been charged with sexual assault following an incident on Aug. 19, 2016, which was captured on surveillance cameras.
Bradley could be seen “spooning ” another man on the cell floor, rubbing his back, shoulders, stomach and groin area.
Another portion of the surveillance video showed the complainant’s pants pulled down before Bradley moves his head over the man’s groin area.
Both Bradley and the victim testified they couldn’t recall the encounter.
