June 16: Junk in the Trunk parking lot sale at Robert McClure United Church, 5510 - 26 Avenue N.E., from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Rent a parking space for $25. The RMUC parking lot will be turned into a garage sale, with goods sold from the trunks of cars. People come together and sell second-hand clothing, books, toys, tools, household items and more. You may bring your own table for set up. Proceeds from the sales belong to the renter, but can be donated to the Robert McClure United Church or other worthy causes. June 17: 11 a.m. Father’s Day with Pastor Deborah Kerr at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church at 8007 Bowness Road N.W. Hear about Jesus’ parable of the mustard seed. Afterwards, take time for fellowship, baking and beverage.
July 4: Choral Evensong (under the auspices of the Royal Canadian College of Organists, Calgary Organ Festival) at 4:30 p.m. at Christ Church (Anglican), Elbow Park 3602 - 8 Street S.W. 403-243-4680. Free admission.
