LET’S MOVE ON FROM ALLEGED GROPING

-

Re: “Trudeau has double standard on harassment,” Lakritz, July 4

Twenty years ago, the Creston Valley Advance published an (unsigned) editorial accusing Justin Trudeau of groping one of its reporters.

The editor was not present to confirm the allegation; he was reporting what someone else told him. No direct evidence, so it’s hearsay, in a court of law — not good evidence.

The alleged complainant never did complain or explain “groping ” as reported in the editorial.

Sexual harassment can be everything from a pat on the backside to rape.

As there was no complaint in the last 20 years, there is no “crime” to investigate.

Time to move on.
