THANK YOU TO A KIND STRANGER

-

My wife and I, an elderly couple, were on our way to Calgary International Airport to return our rental car and board our flight.

We were using Waze as our GPS. It took us to an industrial area not far from the airport, but remote from the terminal. Waze was not usable after that.

We drove around for 20 minutes and finally approached a woman in a Hyundai SUV at a quiet intersection for directions. She graciously volunteered to lead us to the car rental return, and this good deed helped us make our WestJet flight and get home to Florida.

This was a good three to five kilometres out of her way. So we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the stranger and hope the wonderful people of Calgary can be proud of one of their own for her kindness.
