HONDAS GETTING A FACELIFT
Honda is entering the summer with refreshes of its popular Pilot and HR-V SUVs, which get a facelift, and new trims and tech.
The 2019 Honda Pilot’s update is apparent at a glance, with more aggressive exterior styling complementing practical changes such as a new hands-free tailgate and a refined version of its nine-speed automatic transmission. Inside, the eight-passenger SUV gets 4G LTE, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, and a new touch- screen system with a long-requested physical volume knob. The automaker’s Honda Sensing suite of active safety technologies will come standard on the 2019 Pilot, and will be optional on the subcompact HR-V. The smaller five-door HR-V also gets two new trims, Sport and Touring, along with updates similar to the Pilot’s.
Both vehicles should hit dealerships later in July, with more details coming then.
