Sobeys Better Food Fund supports access to-and the advancement of-better food through donations and partnerships with Canadian charities. Launched in 2014, the fund has supported more than 900 communities across the country. One of the fund’s biggest initiatives in our fair city was the recent Sobeys Better Food Fund Charity Golf Classic held at Priddis Greens July 26. And thanks to the support of myriad sponsors, golfers and more than 100 volunteers, the terrific tournament raised a whopping $800,000!
Sponsors, Sobeys employees, guest golfers and athletes with Special Olympics Canada- an organization Sobeys heartily supports and has donated more than $1.4 million since its partnership with Special Olympics began in 2015 — gathered at Gasoline Alley, Heritage Park, July 25 for the registration reception and golf fair.
