Sobeys Better Food Fund supports access to-and the advancement of-better food through donations and partnerships with Canadian charities. Launched in 2014, the fund has supported more than 900 communities across the country. One of the fund’s biggest initiatives in our fair city was the recent Sobeys Better Food Fund Charity Golf Classic held at Priddis Greens July 26. And thanks to the support of myriad sponsors, golfers and more than 100 volunteers, the terrific tournament raised a whopping $800,000!

Kudos to all involved on the success of the tournament especially invaluable sponsors: Coca-Cola Refreshments; Air Miles; Pepsico Canada; Unilever; Westrow Food Group; Agropur; Kellogg ’s; Maple Leaf; Kraft Heinz; and media sponsor Postmedia, to name but a few.

Host with the most, Sobeys president and CEO Michael Medline joined forces with colleagues Renee Hopfner, Karl Vokey, Bryon Feener, Adam Sheparski, Mike Vels and Simon Gagne, in welcoming-and thanking-invaluable partners and supporters.
