Victoria rewriting its own fake history

“Victoria politicians suddenly find their voice,” Letter, Aug. 11.

How dare Victoria city council rewrite their own fake history. They will go down in the saga of time as the morons of Vancouver Island 2018.

Did they ever make an effort to read the history of one Sir John Alexander Macdonald? I guess not. But alone the fact that he was a Conservative is enough to set the socialist misfits off on a rampage.

In a column in the Toronto Star in 2009, Richard Gwyn wrote: “Of all of our 28 prime ministers since Confederation, we really remember just two: John A. Macdonald and Pierre Elliott Trudeau.”

Trudeau was a great admirer of Macdonald, and Trudeau was a liberal-socialist as good as they get. That, by itself, speaks volumes to people who actually have a brain. Why can they not learn from such historical facts? Caspar Pfenninger, Calgary
