Some provinces remain more equal

-

Licia Corbella made some salient points. The recent photo of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Quebec Premier Phillipe Couillard, holding hands with the president of Montreal’s CAE, looked like three guys who had just won the lottery. The fact that CAE will receive $150 million from the federal government is not lost on Canadians outside of Quebec. CAE apparently did not have to jump through 197 additional hoops, or account for greenhouse gas emissions.

To retain any semblance of credibility, and to display “Canadian values,” both Trudeau and Couillard need to publicly agree that, now, Energy East is a project beneficial to Canada and Quebec. Mary Anne Clarke, Calgary
