WestJet offers wildfire seat sale

-

WestJet is having a seat sale for those who want to get out of town because of the wildfire smoke. The company says it will take 25 per cent off flights between B.C. and anywhere in Canada, but only if travellers book before Thursday. The offer applies to all fare classes. Air Canada is also offering a 25 per cent discount, but only if passengers are seeking to leave Castlegar, Cranbrook, Kamloops, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Penticton, Prince George or Terrace because of the state of emergency. The discount also only applies to destinations within B.C. An air quality advisory has been in effect for more than a week for much of the province because of fine particulate matter in the air from the wildfires.
