Re: “What has happened to free speech?” letter, Aug. 21 Milada Rysan writes that she “lived in an oppressive regime,” which leads me to believe that she’s an immigrant to Canada. Now she’s protesting the Trudeau government immigration policy and “feels sorry for future generations who have to live with the consequences.”
What am I missing here? Did she expect to be the last person to be allowed to migrate to our country?

Trudeaus irresponsible tweet caused the immigration crisis. Thousands of people crossing the border illegally who will eventually be deported because they do have proper immigration status. Its been a terrible drain on the immigration department

So just because you are an immigrant, you aren’t allowed an opinion on immigration?
She expected the government to not let in the hordes of people and culture in that caused the problems she was escaping from in the first place.
