Drumheller jail investigates inmate attack

Correctional Services Canada is investigating an assault on an inmate at the Drumheller Institution on Monday morning.

The inmate was sent to an outside hospital for treatment and Correctional Services said no other offenders or staff were injured in the incident.

No other details were released. Drumheller Institution is a medium-security prison located about 130 kilometres east of Calgary.
