O.J. Simpson denies murder

-

O.J. Simpson has denied murdering ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson in a spoof interview with prankster Sacha Baron Cohen. For the season finale of his show Who is America? that HBO aired Sunday, Baron Cohen pretended to be an eccentric Italian playboy to secure a chat with O.J., who was acquitted of killing Nicole in 1995. Baron Cohen’s character joked about the ways he’d like to kill his girlfriend, such as by pushing her out of a helicopter or by sabotaging a bungee rope — with the comments meeting with chuckles from O.J. He then broached the subject of Nicole’s murder by saying they were both “lady-killers” — prompting O.J. to say: “No, I didn’t kill nobody.” He later added: I didn’t do it . ... I didn’t ‘get away’ with nothing.” Although he was acquitted, O.J. was found civilly liable in 1997 for the deaths of Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman. A California court ordered him to pay US$33.5 million.
