Indian act is not going anywhere

A number of years ago, New Zealand put an end to the funding of its Indigenous separatist­s via a sunset clause that gave them autonomy.

Canada needs to do the same, but to think native leaders will ever do away with the Indian Act is naive. The act is the mechanism by which the money is transferre­d. It’s not going to happen.
