Firepits are bad for health as well

Re: “Air quality threat forcing young players off fields,” Aug. 27.

Lately, smoke from forest fires has given us very bad air quality. People should be aware that the smoke from firepits is also bad for your health and environment.

Calgary, which considers itself to be a green, clean city, should not hesitate to ban backyard fires.
