Drinkers deserve equal Consideration

Re: “First proposed pot sites draw immediate criticism,” Aug. 28.

I believe it is illegal to consume alcohol in public parks. Why would city council think that we should delegate public space (supported by our tax dollars) to those who wish to partake of cannabis?

This reasoning escapes me, and if council proceeds with this plan, I may have to request that some public space be set aside where I and my friends can go and commune with nature while enjoying a glass of wine.
