Meek Mill donates school supplies

-

Rapper Meek Mill is giving out 6,000 backpacks full of school supplies to kids in his hometown of Philadelphia. Meek Mill, 31, is teaming up with Puma, Fanatics sports apparel, United Legwear and upmarket Philadelphia department store Milano Di Rouge to donate the bags to kids for the new school term. Ahead of the giveaway, Meek Mill, real name Robert Rihmeek Williams, told TMZ.com he was inspired to help Philadelphia’s children because of his own struggles while growing up. “Those memories stay with me and that’s why I’m committed to giving back to families in my hometown, putting smiles on kids’ faces and helping them start the school year on the right note with the right supplies,” he said.
