B.C. needs to clean up its smoke

-

Re: “Rainfall, cooler temperatures bring some relief to wildfire-ravaged B.C.,” Aug. 28.

Attention, B.C. government, we in Calgary are sick and tired of you transporting your forestry wastes, mainly smoke, across the boundary we share with you.

If you refuse to keep your smoke within your own borders, then we are compelled to take legal action against you. Of course, we could let you come to Calgary with your equipment to suck this smoke pollutant out of our air.

We would like our air to return to the pristine normal we are accustomed to.

Some Calgarians are becoming ill and it is affecting our tourist industry.

Take the necessary legal steps to defend yourself, B.C.

If nothing else, we could be in court for years before this issue is solved.
