BRICK-THROWING SUSPECT WAS HIGH ON METH, POLICE SAY
Winnipeg police believe a man arrested on the weekend was high on methamphetamine when he stood on a lofty perch and hurled chimney bricks at officers below. Police say the man was acting erratically when they tried to talk him down from the roof of a building Sunday morning. They say that after tossing bricks, the man screamed and threw rocks at vehicles, apartment windows and emergency crews before his arrest. Christopher Robert Baron, 40, is facing charges that include six counts of assaulting peace officers.
