Canada Broken, But who will fix it?
Canada is broken. It’s broken, and I don’t know who can, or will, fix it?
We’ve abdicated control over our lives and prosperity to “stakeholders,” special interest groups and plain old obstructionists.
In Calgary, small groups who plot and scheme in living rooms delay our so desperately needed ring road.
Elsewhere, municipal leaders who dump their own raw sewage into our waters pontificate about projects of national importance they know little about. Provincially, political leaders play politics with our economies. Nationally, our leaders show no political will to drive our country forward.
And the courts blockade projects for no reason, other than to placate a very small, very vocal minority. We are dead in the water, and our system of government, as is stands, appears unable to provide solutions.
