StArs Align For Joni At 75

An all-star group of mu­si­cians is set to ring in Joni Mitchell’s 75th birth­day in Novem­ber by pay­ing trib­ute to the time­less songs that took her from the night­clubs of Saskatchewan to in­ter­na­tional ac­claim. The two-day con­cert in Los An­ge­les will fea­ture a di­verse lineup of mu­si­cal lu­mi­nar­ies in­clud­ing folk-rock leg­end Gra­ham Nash, jazz artist No­rah Jones and Queen of Funk Chaka Khan. Cana­dian artists Diana Krall and Ru­fus Wain­wright are also set to hon­our the Prairie-raised icon. Other per­form­ers ex­pected to take the stage in­clude Kris Kristof­fer­son, Seal, Los Lo­bos, Em­my­lou Har­ris and Glen Hansard. The con­certs will be held on Nov. 6 and 7, the lat­ter mark­ing Mitchell’s ac­tual birth­day, at Los An­ge­les’s Dorothy Chan­dler Pav­il­ion.
