CTrain ac­ci­dent at cen­tre of probe

Po­lice traf­fic in­ves­ti­ga­tors are look­ing into what re­sulted in man be­ing struck by a CTrain at a north­east LRT sta­tion just ahead of Tues­day’s af­ter­noon rush. EMS were called to the Sad­dle­towne LRT sta­tion in the 400 block of Sad­dle­towne Cir­cle N.E. about 3:15 p.m. for re­ports that a pedes­trian had been struck by a train. Af­ter the col­li­sion, the pedes­trian was taken to hospi­tal with life-threat­en­ing in­juries. The in­ci­dent re­sulted in the ter­mi­nus of the north­east line be­ing tem­po­rar­ily closed while the po­lice col­li­sion re­con­struc­tion unit in­ves­ti­gates the cause of the col­li­sion.
