Is this reality or are we dreaming?

-

It seems we’ve stumbled into Superman’s Bizarro world where everything is surreal. Canada has been deemed to be a security threat to the U.S. to justify absurd tariffs on steel and aluminum by President Trump. Ontario’s Premier Doug Ford is prepared to use the Charter’s “notwithstanding ” clause to downsize Toronto’s city council, partway into a civic election.

And in this ‘dream world,’ it’s been rumoured that Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is so emboldened by Ford’s use of the “notwithstanding ” clause that he, too, will invoke this clause, and all three pipelines (two of which he previously cut off at the knees and the other one he ended up buying) are back on the table. To his naysayers, he’s been heard to say “Just watch me.”

It’s a crazy world out there, folks.
