Canadian rinks score wins at World Cup

Canada is off to a per­fect start at the in­au­gu­ral World Cup of Curl­ing. Rachel Ho­man’s Ot­tawa rink, Kevin Koe’s Cal­gary four­some and the mixed dou­bles team of Laura Walker and Kirk Muyres all recorded wins on the open­ing day. Ho­man beat Rus­sia’s Anna Si­dorova 6-5 as the Cana­di­ans scored a pair in the fi­nal end. Koe beat Peter De Cruz of Switzer­land 6-4 and Walker and Muyres downed Kristin Moen Skaslien and Sander Rolvag of Nor­way 9-5.
