Grunwald to head up Canada Basketball

Glen Grunwald will become the president and CEO of Canada Basketball effective Oct. 1, the sport’s national governing body announced Wednesday. Grunwald was general manager of the NBA’s Toronto Raptors from 1997 to 2004. He joined the New York Knicks in 2006, where he became GM from 2011-13. Grunwald was then director of athletics and recreation at McMaster University for four years. He resigned last month to take on a consulting role with the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies.
