Buying Canadian solves issue

Re: Canada not the solution to dairy woes in Wisconsin, Opinion, Sept. 18

I completely agree with Miranda Verhoef ’s very compelling arguments about U.S. milk not meeting Canadian standards and that we shouldn’t have to accept it under NAFTA. Should we need to allow more milk products into Canada, however, there is a very simple way to deal with it: Simply don’t buy it. If all of us boycotted U.S. milk products, perhaps they’ll get the message and fix their oversupply problem. We could also have a Buy Canadian campaign to bring awareness to the deficiencies in their products.

One solution to their problem is that the U.S. government could buy their oversupply and turn it into powdered milk which can then be shipped to starving countries.
