Man hospitalized after shooting in the Beltline

Police are investigating an early Friday shooting in the Beltline that sent one person to hospital.

The incident happened after just midnight in the 1500 block of 14th Street S.W. and police said they received multiple calls from the public reporting shots being fired.

EMS spokesman Adam Loria said a man suffered “traumatic injuries” and was transported to the Foothills Medical Centre in non-life-threatening condition.

Detectives from the general investigative unit were called out and continue to investigate.
