STAMPS FACE TOUGH CALL AT RUNNING BACK

- Danny Austin

The Calgary Stampeders appear to have options at running back this weekend for the first time in a while.

Chances are, though, that means one of either Don Jackson, Romar Morris or Terry Williams is going to be left out of the lineup.

Considering the talent that group possesses, it won’t be an easy decision. Head coach Dave Dickenson wasn’t tipping his hand Tuesday about which way he was leaning.

“We’ll see if Don can get through tomorrow, he looks pretty good right now,” Dickenson said. “It looks like we’ll have three healthy bodies for the first time in a long time, so we’ll play the best two, but special teams have to play into that, as well.”

Williams has been the team’s primary kick and punt returner this season, while Jackson has spent most of the year as the starting running back before an ankle injury provided Morris with an opportunity.

Morris has made the most of his chance, rushing for 193 yards and two touchdowns in his last two games, while also adding two receiving touchdowns in the Labour Day rematch against the Edmonton Eskimos.
