Almost Famous to hit Broadway

Cameron Crowe’s movie Almost Famous is heading to Broadway. The 2000 film, loosely based on the director’s life on the road as a young journalist, is being adapted as a stage musical. Crowe is developing the project, based on his Academy Awardwinning screenplay, while Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Tom Kitt is creating the project’s score. The film starred Billy Crudup, Patrick Fugit, Kate Hudson, Frances McDormand and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
