Inika Organic ready to launch in Canada

There’s a new green beauty brand on the block.

Inika Organic is a luxury cosmetics company based in Australia that specialize­s in natural beauty products that provide colour payoff and performanc­e.

We caught up with Celia Trevisani, the global brand manager for Inika Organic, to chat about green beauty, “hero” products and learn more about the brand.

Q For those who aren’t familiar, what is Inika Organic?

A Inika Organic is a 100 per cent natural, luxury cosmetics brand. We’re dedicated to creating the best natural and certified organic formulas that perform beautifull­y. We work with makeup artists from around the world and have become a fan favourite of celebritie­s such as Emma Watson and Hilary Swank.

Q Is there a story behind the name?

A Inika, pronounced in-neee-ka, actually means ‘little earth’ in Sanskrit. It perfectly summarizes our approach to beauty as we source organic ingredient­s and botanicals from all over the world, wherever they are the purest.

Q What makes it different from other organic beauty brands?

A We have always had an unwavering commitment to be 100 per cent natural, no fillers, no synthetics or anything else that is usually hidden away in the list of ingredient­s on the back of the pack. We live to create and have become recognized as a pioneer in the cosmetics industry. This is reflected in the global awards that we win for our formulatio­ns and new products. Our beauty is more than skin deep as well, we are certified cruelty-free, certified vegan and halal. Inika Organic is the healthiest makeup in the world.

Q Is there a ‘hero’ product in the line? If so, which one and why?

A We have an amazing range of foundation­s across liquid and powders that provide the most amazing coverage and also enrich the skin with natural and organic ingredient­s. Our 3-in-1 Certified Organic BB Cream has recently become a favourite for beauty influencer­s as it hydrates and repairs the skin while it evens out the complexion with great coverage. Another hero innovation has been our Long Lash Vegan Mascara, which has been flying off shelves, becoming an instant favourite.

Q The green beauty movement just keeps growing. What do you think is behind the popularity?

A It’s the age of knowledge and research being at your fingertips. People deserve to have a full view on the products they put on their skin and this is where the shift toward green beauty is being fuelled from. We absolutely love sharing our formulas with consumers and discussing ingredient­s in detail.

Q What is the price range for Inika Organic products?

A Our range includes products from $27 for the Certified Organic Eye Pencil to $60 for the Baked Mineral Foundation, Illuminiso­r and Blush.
