TEAOLOGY GREEN TEA DETOX FACE SCRUB

They say: The antioxidant green tea extract has nourishing and purifying vegetable oils that will help brighten skin tone. Sugar micro-crystals remove dead skin cells and minimize pores. Skin will be left, soft, radiant and “simply perfect.”

We say: The product is nice to use and leaves skin feeling moisturized. A couple of weeks of using the product twice a week and our tester said her skin was smoother and free of all post-summertime dry patches. The product has a fresh, clean scent.

JASON FRESH CUCUMBER DRY SPRAY DEODORANT

They say: Enjoy the carefree feeling of 24-hour odour protection with this clinically tested deodorant spray. The formula goes on clean and dries in an instant with no residue on skin or clothing.

We say: OK, no spray is dry really. And this one isn’t either. That said, it does dry out quickly and certainly without the stickiness of many conventional roll-on or other spray deodorant iterations. The bigger question is the whole fresh veggie component. Tested with a few different sniffers, the overall consensus was “less cucumber; more mojito.” But it’s not overpowering or in any way unpleasant.

SEPHORA FACE MASK APPLICATOR

They say: A silicon applicator tool that’s designed for use while applying and removing facial mask products. The dualended tool has a soft side to scoop mask products from their jars, while the small-bristled end can be used to massage, smooth and stimulate the skin.

We say: This may well be the beauty tool you never knew you needed. We all know that masking is a great way to get your skin in shape, but sticking your fingers in the mucky masks can sometimes leave you in a sticky situation. This pink tool allows you to smooth the product on your face and then remove it (all while providing a mini massage) — and you don’t even have to get your hands dirty.
