Who will answer Olympic questions?

Re: “How to face the complexity of a Calgary 2026 decision,” Opinion, Sept. 22. Thank you to the wise authors of this succinct column who make the compelling point that as voters we must ask the right questions in becoming informed about this complex decision.

My response to this is two more questions: Who on city council is going to answer the questions that are posed in this commentary with clarity, openness and honesty? Will the issues raised in this column be addressed by civic representatives at the open houses scheduled in the next month before voters cast their opinions?

As taxpaying voters, we must take responsibility for being informed and in doing so, demand full disclosure before we cast our ballot. Sandy Shuler, Calgary
