TRUMP’S MOCKERY OF VICTIM ‘JUST PLAIN WRONG’

Donald Trump’s mockery of a woman accusing his Supreme Court nominee of sexual assault appeared to backfire Wednesday as three wavering Republican senators criticized the comments.

Trump parodied the testimony of Christine Blasey Ford, the professor making the claim, who has admitted not remembering details about the alleged incident.

Jeff Flake of Arizona, pictured, called the president’s remarks “appalling,” while Susan Collins of Maine called them “just plain wrong” and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska said it was “wholly inappropriate.” A vote on Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination is expected this week after the FBI completes its investigation.
