Three arrested after weapons, drugs seized

Three people were arrested in Lethbridge after police seized eight grams of what they suspect is carfentani­l, along with other drugs and weapons.

The Alberta Law Enforcemen­t Response Teams (ALERT) searched a home in west Lethbridge on Sept. 27 with the help of local police.

Officers seized eight grams of methamphet­amine, 188 grams of a cocaine buffing agent and 19 grams of cannabis, along with the suspected carfentani­l.

ALERT also seized various weapons and stolen property, including bicycles, electronic­s and tools, from the home.

Curtis Carbert, 38, and Devin Jones, 28, are charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of traffickin­g, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public.

Chassidy Morin, 39, is charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of credit card data.
