Woman killed, three injured in Highway 22 crash
A woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision north of Cochrane on Friday.
EMS spokesman Stuart Brideaux said paramedics declared an adult female driver deceased at the scene.
Three occupants of another vehicle have been transported to Foothills Medical Centre.
An adult female was taken by ground ambulance in serious condition, and an 11-year-old was transported to the Alberta Children’s Hospital in serious condition, and a 14-year-old in serious condition was flown by air ambulance to the children’s hospital, Brideaux said.
The collision occurred around 1:15 p.m. on Highway 22 near Township Road 274.
Cochrane RCMP detachment was asking drivers to use alternative routes.
