Tour bus driver struck, killed by own vehicle in parking lot

A driver of a tour bus was hit and killed by her own vehicle in the Columbia Icefield parking lot near Jasper on Thursday.

Emergency services were called to the parking lot crash about 1:15 p.m. after the 52-year-old woman was hit, police said Friday.

STARS Air Ambulance was dispatched but she died at the scene.

Witnesses told Mounties that the bus also struck four parked vehicles before it came to a stop.

No other people were injured and the investigation is continuing.
